Highway 12 Most Beautiful Highways

Scenic Byway 12: Utah

Utah is far from lacking in scenery. Plan a trip to Red Canyon, Bryce Canyon and Capitol Reef National Parks for some incredible road tripping. If you can’t get enough of Utah’s red rock wonderland, continue southwest and visit jaw-dropping Zion National Park.

If you’re craving some good water and a line, head over to Fish Lake Loop via the Fish Lake Scenic Byway. Here you’ll find 40 miles of beautiful alpine and high desert country with some spectacular fishing in the center of it all. Of course, if you still have time, don’t forget to visit Moab and have a local experience with hiking, biking, eating and stargazing to your heart’s content.

The Pacific Coast Highway is easily one of the most beautiful highways in the western United States. Drive along this coastal, scenic route with spectacular ocean views. Be sure to stop for a beach campout under the palms in Santa Barbara, and don’t forget to visit the Monterey Bay Aquarium.

Be sure to stop at the 1,077 acre longwood Gardens, which has 20 indoor gardens, an outdoor tapory and spring-fed lakes.
